How can academic librarians enable access to leisure reading to better serve their campus communities?
Summary:
The research is clear: Access to leisure reading is hugely beneficial for college students – for a wide range of reasons. But what exactly does this mean for today’s academic librarians working to meet evolving needs while navigating often uncertain financial waters?
In this eye-opening presentation, OverDrive Academic will explore the experiences of librarians who are successfully leaning into leisure reading to better serve their unique campus communities. Penguin Random House Library Marketing will join to share insights into Millennial and Gen Z leisure reading habits, and present a short book buzz highlighting titles that are igniting a passion for leisure reading and learning.
Attendees will learn the best practices these librarians have embraced to better support the whole student and academic excellence. We’ll look at strategies in title selection, review the most popular formats, budgeting and much more.
