    Robert B. Reich

    Robert B. Reich is Professor of Public Policy emeritus at the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley. He has served in three national administrations, including as secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton, for which Time Magazine named him one of the ten most effective cabinet secretaries of the twentieth century. In 2003 he received the Václav Havel Foundation Prize from the former Czech president for his pioneering work in economic and social thought.

    Professor Reich has written 18 books, including the best-sellers The Work of Nations, Aftershock, and The System: Who Rigged It and How We Fix It. His most recent book, Coming Up Short: A Memoir of My America, published last year, was a #1 New York Times best-seller. He is a columnist for The Guardian, a founding editor of the American Prospect magazine, and co-founder of Inequality Media to which he contributes posts and explainer videos, and he writes daily at robertreich.substack.com. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
