Summary:

In a challenging funding environment, institutions are facing increasing pressure to prove that research matters beyond academia. In this context, strong partnerships between librarians and researchers are essential – librarians play a vital role in helping faculty communicate the societal relevance of their work and navigate tools that connect science with policymaking.

This session will explore the role of academic libraries in advancing translational research by supporting scholars in communicating their work beyond academia, monitoring policy citations, assessing institutional impact, and promoting external engagement through innovative research evaluation frameworks.
