  Lisa Barricella

  Head of Acquisitions, E-Resources, & ConservationAcademic Library Services, East Carolina University

  Lisa Barricella is the Head of Acquisitions, E-Resources & Conservation at Academic Library Services at East Carolina University. She leads the team that purchases resources in all formats, provides access to electronic resources, and repairs and maintains physical materials which support the teaching and research needs of the campus community. She holds a MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh, and has been an academic librarian for 24 years.

  Jeanne Hoover

  Head of Scholarly CommunicationAcademic Library Services, East Carolina University

  Jeanne Hoover (she/her) is the Head of Scholarly Communication at Academic Library Services at East Carolina University. She leads the Scholarly Communication team in supporting faculty, student, and staff needs on campus. In addition to this role, she serves as the liaison librarian for the Departments of Physics and Mathematics.

  Maggie Z. Saponaro

  Director of Collection Development StrategiesUniversity of Maryland Libraries (UMD)

  Maggie Z. Saponaro is Director of Collection Development Strategies at the University of Maryland Libraries (UMD), where she is responsible for leadership and vision for the content of purchased and licensed collections across all disciplinary areas and formats. She also directs the collection development work of the Libraries’ subject specialist liaison librarians, with primary responsibility for content and budgeting of the UMD Libraries’ general collections. Her prior work experience includes serving as Librarian for Journalism and Hearing and Speech Sciences and Manager, Staff Learning and Development at UMD, as Associate Director of Learning Resources at the Alexandria Campus of Northern Virginia Community College, and as Acting Library Director/Northern Virginia Librarian for the Northern Virginia Campus and Librarian for the College of Human Resources at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Ms. Saponaro is a member of ALA and ACRL, and is an active member of the NERL Program Council. She holds an MLS from UCLA, with postgraduate work in the areas of personnel programs and public administration. Her research interests are in the areas of collection management, instruction, and emerging technologies in libraries, and she is currently finalizing the eighth edition of Collection Management Basics (Santa Barbara: ABC-CLIO) with co-authors G. Edward Evans and John Novak.

  Kapil Vasudev

  Collection Development Strategies LibrarianUniversity of Maryland Libraries (UMD)

  Kapil Vasudev is Collection Development Strategies Librarian at the University of Maryland Libraries (UMD) where he is responsible for gathering and managing data supporting collection development and collection assessment and chairs the Library Deselection and Transfer Steering Committee responsible for planning and executing deselection and transfer projects for print collections and identifying alternate formats as appropriate, as well as the rightsizing of on-campus collections. He is also a member of the UMD Publishing, Access, and Contract Terms (PACT) working group and is a member of the ACRL Student Learning and Information Literacy Committee (SLILC). His prior work experience includes serving as the Education Librarian and Mary P. Key Resident Librarian for Cultural Diversity Inquiry at the Ohio State University Libraries. He holds a MLIS from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and his research interests include collection decision-making, scholarly communication, and library instruction.
