Pausing for Reflection and Action

The Toward Inclusive Excellence team extends our heartfelt sympathy to the victims’ families of the recent Buffalo, New York; Laguna Woods, California; and Uvalde, Texas mass shootings. These mass murders, in addition to 21 school shootings this year, mark a grim period in America’s history.

Our editor-in-chief Alexia Hudson-Ward is a three-time gun violence survivor. Her brother, a cousin, and a professional colleague have died as innocent victims of gun violence in the span of twenty years. She and millions of other Americans continue to lobby for a ban on assault weapons sales to civilians and a federal background check system for high-powered gun purchases in the United States. This week she is focusing her attention on gun control advocacy efforts.

Toward Inclusive Excellence will return to our regular schedule of releasing new content next week. Please browse our archives and sign up for our newsletter.

We appreciate your support.
