The term “AI slop” has become a popular way of identifying low-quality AI content circulating on the internet. One might also observe that AI slop extends to the ever-proliferating array of AI-powered tools, some of which are, to put it mildly, maybe not quite ready for showtime. Building on our last webinar on AI literacy frameworks, LibTech Insights hosted Choice editor and publisher Rachel Hendrick and information services industry expert Gary Price to discuss and recommend some promising AI tools for improving library workflows.

Expanding on their ✨LibTech Tools✨ series, Rachel and Gary begin the webinar by giving an overview of their concerns with AI tools before diving into a few examples of free or low-cost tools with clear applications for library and academic settings.
