Choice and LibTech Insights are proud to announce the upcoming webinar, “Empowering Librarians with AI Literacy: A Framework for Navigating and Teaching AI.”

In August, Choice published its (free) white paper, “Building an AI Literacy Framework: Perspectives from Instruction Librarians and Current Information Literacy Tools,” written by McGill University librarians Sandy Hervieux and Amanda Wheatley. Using interviews and pedagogical research, veteran AI experts Hervieux and Wheatley put together a novel framework for AI literacy.

In this webinar, the authors will go over the making of a framework for AI literacy and show real-life examples of how it can be applied. Through the application of this framework, librarians will know, understand, experiment, evaluate, and engage with AI.

Attendees will:

  • Understand the key components of a framework for AI literacy.
  • Learn how to implement the AI literacy framework.
  • Develop strategies for incorporating AI literacy in library services.
