Make a scholarly impact with your subject liaison skills

Are you passionate about collection services? Do you want to apply your subject expertise and bibliographic selection skills to a Choice/ACRL publication? Resources for College Libraries (RCL), the database of over 90,000 essential titles for academic libraries, is seeking new editors in the following subjects:

·   Agriculture

·   Anthropology

·   Education

·   European History

·   Germanic Languages and Literatures

·   Latin American History

·   Mathematics

·   Other Literatures in English

·   Renaissance Studies

·   Victorian Studies

RCL subject editors maintain core title lists of the most important monographs—historical and contemporary—in an academic discipline. Successful editors balance extensive subject expertise and judicious selection skills together with deep understanding of the modern undergraduate curriculum.

Responsibilities include:

·   Selecting new title additions, including select web resources

·   Updating, reviewing, and weeding current selections

·   Maintaining and refining the subject taxonomy and scope note

·   Responding to recommendations from peer reviewers

·   Integrating advancements in disciplinary research, teaching, and scholarship

This multi-year role involves a time commitment of approximately 30 hours/year, with flexible deadlines and remote workflow. This is a professional service and publication opportunity; subject editors also receive an annual honorarium.
